Nota d'usoIl verbo to demand può avere il significato di “domandare”, però in genere viene utilizzato solo nel contesto del discorso indiretto o per descrivere una richiesta fatta con insistenza o con autorità (ad es. da parte della polizia). Per tradurre “domandare” nel senso generico si usa to ask: I asked him for advice, gli ho chiesto un consiglio; per tradurre “domandarsi” si usa to wonder o to ask oneself: I wonder what he was thinking, mi domando cosa stava pensando. -
